To Market to Market We Go
Some beautiful stone buildings downtown!!
The girls and I headed into Montreal this morning to meet Kevin and Chelsea at a fantastic vegetarian restaurant. We had a nice brunch together there and headed to an amazing market downtown.
We had a lovely market back in PR, but this market was proper!! We loaded up on veggies, fruit, sausages, maple sugar tarts and the most amazing popsicles I've ever tasted!! I think they were pure strawberries and mint, put through a blender and frozen on a stick!! They were SO refreshing in the heat of today! Marin couldn't get enough and cried each time I took a bite for myself! Calli nearly ate a whole punnet of tiny blueberries all to herself. Auntie Chelsea would offer the container to her and she would grab handfuls of them. Luckily Chelsea thought ahead and bought 2 containers!!
After perusing the goods at the market, we visited with some friends of Kevin and Chelsea. We sat out on their deck and had some cold iced tea and beer and chit chatted for a while. Calli amused herself with leaves from a tree until Marin decided enough was enough, that she was too hot and tired to stick around. So we packed up, said Goodbye to everyone and left for home.
We had a quick dip in the pool before supper, played a bit, read some books and then I put the girls to bed. Marin has been sprouting a few molars, so has had a number of sleepless nights over the last week or so. Poor little plum. I'm surprised she hasn't gnawed her little fingers to the bones yet!
