NO Time Outs!

Here are my crazy little girls tonight. Calli was dressed as a princess/ballerina in a multitude of layers and was spinning herself dizzy in the living room, and Marin was displaying her cute smile with the outfit she designed! (Details to follow.)

I spent the day getting organized for our guests arriving tomorrow!! We can hardly wait! We bought a bed for our spare room, but have had to put it up in our master bedroom for now. We are sleeping in the spare room until the carpets are in, and didn't think it was very good etiquette to ask our guests to sleep on the floor!!

We made progress today - Calli and I. She didn't have a time out at all today! She was a really good girl for a change! She rolled her eyes at me once tonight, right before bed, but other than that...she was great!! We all ended up having a little snooze on the couch together this afternoon, so I think that might have had something to do with it! It might become part of our daily routine. She has become unreasonable in her fits lately. She gets totally worked up and starts yelling at us and then just walks away or goes in her room and slams the door. This, providing she hasn't burst into tears. But when we try and reason with her, she hits and kicks and completely loses her temper. We are working on helping her to calm down and not grab an attitude when she speaks to us, but I can see it's going to be a long process. I DO see light at the end of the tunnel!

Calli got some new tub shapes as a gift for being a flower girl on the weekend. Now she is quite eager for bath time!! I found her this afternoon in the empty tub making shape animals!! At least she's creative!

Marin has a funny little habit of picking up clothes, blankets, towels, scarves...whatever and placing them around the back of her neck. She'll take a blanket or shirt and put it over her head and then crawl around pretending not to see and giggling to herself! So today, she stepped it up a bit and used the shirt she was wearing. She pulled it over her head and wore it as a hat for a while, before slipping it over her head. I eventually fixed it for her, but she was wearing it the other way again, within minutes.

I eventually had to change her into her pj's in order for her shirt to stay on properly.
