The Winner is......The S60!!!!!!!
For the last few days we've been looking around and test-driving various cars and weighing our options for buying a new vehicle. Yesterday we fell in love with 2 cars and today....this one won!!
(that's me driving!!)
It's a 2001 Volvo S60. It has a manual transmission, alloy rims, good fuel economy and more room than our Jetta has. It also has some funky features inside that we love, such as temperature control for each passenger, heated seats, a/c, telescopic steering wheel and more!!! The price was great and we'll pick it up next week!
The girls have been amazing during Car Shopping 101! Calli took to sitting in all of the display vehicles and telling us how comfy the seats were in each one. Even after we told her we'd purchased the Volvo, she insisted we should buy the Camry. I think Granny and Gido might have been channelling messages through to her!! (Hee hee!!) The Volvo dealership had a toy section which kept both girls busy for the time it took to complete the paperwork involved in buying a new car.
Calli enjoyed some Rigatoni and meat sauce at a fabulous Italian restaurant not far from the dealership.
It's been a long and tiresome few days and I'm dizzy with fatigue! Sweet dreams!!!
