Funny Ham Bone

After roasting in the car during a trip to Home Depot, we came home and went for a nice dip in the pool with some of the new pool toys we got!! (Thank you Grandpa and Grandma!)

Calli was hesitant to go on the kick board at first, but once Adam got her on there, we weren't allowed to touch the thing!!! It was a REAL stepping stone for us as she usually doesn't let go of us once we are in the pool. Because she can't touch the bottom, she kind of freaks out and tells us constantly that she doesn't want to go "in the deep." Like we would ever let her go...but try telling that to a 3 year old! Anyway, the kick board was a perfect find and we are hoping it will boost up her confidence and get her learning about how and why a girl needs to learn to kick!

Next up was story time at the Library. The kids were supposed to wear their pajamas to the library and it was to help parents realize the importance of reading before bed. There were 2 story times, one in English and one in French an hour later, and parents were not allowed to attend. So, Adam, Marin and I hung out in the lobby and played while Calli listened to the story etc.

After the hour was up, she came running out of the library and said "I had chips and juice!!!" She had a great time and told us that she and her new friends giggled a lot.

We had geared her up for the whole thing over the last 5 days or so and kept reminding her how fun it would be with all the kids. She kept asking if we could sit with her and listen to the books. So we were prepared for the worst when we walked through the library doors. In the end, it was Adam who had the hardest time. Calli held hands with the librarian and headed over to the story couch without turning around to wave goodbye to her Dad...poor guy!! He was completely tossed aside!

Marin is a funny little girl. We can now ask her for a smile and she'll present us with.............

Every time!! And it doesn't get old!!! Same smile every time and we laugh and laugh! She even does it when I pull out the camera! SUCH a HAM!!!

It made me laugh too! what a funny little smile. I love it when they just do what feels good, and aren't at all self conscious of what they look like! too funny!
