I'm MELTING.......!!!!!!!!!!!

It was SO hot here today. I'm not sure how we all didn't turn into little, melted pools of ourselves. We had the fans going full blast, we had blinds and curtains closed, windows open, windows closed...Lucky for us, we have a box of Freezies in the freezer. The problem was, each time I opened the freezer to get the Freezies or opened the fridge to get more H2O, I wished there was more room inside to fit me!! It made all of us lethargic. We spent a good hour and a half to 2 hours in the pool this morning. Marin had a nap in her high-chair for 2.5 hours and Calli and I read books and drank water. You know it's hot when even the cat has given up trying to find the coolest space in the house! She just gave in and sat with us all day! Poor Horsie!!

Luckily, Marin kept us entertained this afternoon. She loves putting on hats and glasses, albeit for very short periods of time, and she looks around to make sure we have all seen her in her wares...Looking extremely proud of herself!



Calli put the Snow White cape on Marin and she wandered around the house looking more like a super hero to me!!

Marin has really been walking around furniture and transferring from one object to another a LOT lately. She is getting quite brave with her transfers. I was putting her down at one point yesterday and instead of immediately falling down, she stayed on her feet. I let go....and she stood for about 10 seconds!!!!!! Very exciting! I did it again today when she was distracted by the cat and she stood for a shorter amount of time, before falling down and getting mad. She was pretty crabby/whiny today in the heat. She went without clothes for the day and was still sticky and hot.
