Family day

Today was Adam's first day home in a while. We took Calli to swimming lessons, Adam had a little visit with the dentist and then he needed Calli's help washing and bottling the 2005 Blackberry Merlot Private Reserve. Those two are a fine pair of Vintners! Calli knows just where the limit is to fill her bottles, then lets Adam top them off. She feeds the corks into the corker and he corks the bottles. After about 5 bottles, she gets bored and wanders off to play toys instead.

While we were preparing lunch, she drew a few pictures for us. Looks like she was up to something else, doesn't it?

This afternoon, after the torrential downpour we packed up the kids and headed down to Willingdon Beach for a stroll along the trail. We searched everywhere for squirrels, but didn't see any! Very strange! I think it had to do with the strong winds and winter storms...this is just a hunch though. Marin fell asleep in the snuggly with her Dad and Calli begged us for a chance to get out and play on the toys at the park before we went grocery shopping. She talked us into it.

Dad enjoys a bit of play-time too!! Not one to miss a spot of fun!

Both girls went to bed tonight without a fuss. I guess all that exercise and fresh air was just what they needed!
