Halifax Whirlwind

We had a wonderful opportunity to head out to Halifax for a few days and visit with my brother and his fiance Amanda. Even my Mum was able to join us for the trip!

Calli and I visited Halifax a few years ago and Colin took us out to Peggys Cove for a visit, but Adam and Marin had never been. So it was, that we hopped into the minivan we rented and headed out to Peggys for another look.

It was cold and windy out there, but spectacular like we remembered from last time! Calli was a bit nervous and was surprised when she discovered that the rocks weren't black!! She remembered them being black and holding on to Uncle Colin for dear life as he leaped over gigantic cracks in the rocks with her in his arms!

Adam and his girls....

Uncle Colin, Granny and my girls, who seemed intent on doing their best supermodel posing for anyone taking photos.

My Mummy looking happy and relaxed by her beloved sea....

Adam and I trying to stay warm!!

Adam and the famous lighthouse at Peggy's Cove.

Sweet little Marin!

My beautiful Calli!

My handsome brother! Amanda already had plans for the afternoon and couldn't join us....

Calli...

This is the sign that is up on the lighthouse...I guess not everyone is smart enough to stay back from the big waves!! As windy as it was, we still saw people getting a bit too close to the waves crashing up on the rocks.

This photo is from the Swiss Memorial site, looking back towards Peggy's Cove. You can see the white lighthouse on the right side of the photo.

Another silly photo of some very silly girls. I'm not sure if you can see their faces in this one??....

I think this picture is really funny and cool for some reason. Adam look disgusted, Marin is singing in an opera and Calli, naturally, has found the camera looking in her direction again!

Our friends Jason and Jenny met us out at Peggy's for a visit and some lunch and joined us at the Swiss Memorial as well. It was great to see them!!

Walking back to the cars after seeing it all!

Thanks Colin and Amanda for a great whirlwind trip out to Halifax! We all loved visiting with you and our visit to Peggys' Cove was definitely worth all the rushing to get there!! Thanks for taking us to some of your favourite spots in the city and sharing your coffee joint with us!! Hope it's not too long before we can come out again!!!

I love the east coast! The people are so very friendly and helpful. Whether eating, touring, celebrating or braving the waves on the rocks of Peggy's Cove, it was just a very special weekend, having our little family
together. Mummy
