Miss Sofia Turned 1!!
Shortly after we returned from our vacation (the next day), we celebrated Sofia's actual birthday at our house. We went swimming in our pool, had a delicious supper straight out of our garden and then Sofia was presented with her cake. She seemed a bit confused as to what was happening when we sang to her, but loved the candle.
At first, she wasn't so sure about the look of the cake and turned to her Dad for encouragement.
With a little help, Raffi got Sofia to dip her hands in it, but she seemed disgusted at the feel of it on her little fingers.
Eventually she followed the lead of Calli and Marin and with some help from her Dad, she managed to get her hands into it and have a little taste.
Afterwards, she opened a few presents and clapped for us!!
We were so happy to have been able to celebrate Sofia's birthday twice! It seems so strange that it was almost a year ago when we first met her!! Remember that?
Here are Calli and Marin during our very first visit with Sofia.
They thought she was about the best thing that ever happened!! Calli and Marin LOVE being "big cousins," and get excited each time they get to see each other.
