An August Birthday
See? I told you I had catching up to do! I am beyond late in posting Marin's 4th birthday photos from her August birthday. However, I am going to ride the "better late than never" wave for this.
Being new to the neighbourhood, we managed to pull off a great party! Marin lucked out having her Grandparents at her party as well as a few friends we've made and one of our friends from WL, who came with her 2 cute kids!
Our lovely friend Lindsay was in the midst of doing a cake decorating course and provided Marin with the most delicious and beautiful cupcakes! Each one was filled with either chocolate or butterscotch and decorated with delicate yellow and purple flowers and a green leaf. (All edible, of course.) I love that she placed them as the number 4!
Marin did a great job blowing the candles out and not being too embarrassed when everyone sang Happy Birthday to her. She is improving each and every year!
As well, she had a big tray of cupcakes to share with everyone! Double the candle blowing fun!
The funniest part for me is this photo. All of the other children (as Marin likes to call them) had finished their cupcakes and snacks and had wandered off to play, while Marin devoured her 2nd cupcake all alone, in typical Marin style. Remember the time she went off for a nap at her own party?
