The Things we do...
We popped over to Ottawa a few weeks back for a visit with our favourite niece and her parents. Sofia is getting so big and impossibly cuter every time we see her! I know I've said it before, but it's so much fun to see the 3 cousins playing together.
Calli loves to take my camera now and circulate the party scene for some shots of everyone, so some of these are her photos.
We also got to visit with Jean and Sona, which is always a treat.
Adam whipped up a huge sushi feast for us, which disappeared quicker than a regular meal! It's always such arduous work preparing the sushi, and it always ends up devoured in minutes. Sometimes I wonder if it's really worth it...yes. Yes, it is.
Adam didn't want to ruin his nice t-shirt and jeans, so Gillian provided him with his Grandmothers' apron for his chef duties!! Can you tell that he wasn't impressed by me taking photos of him?
Does this one paint a clearer picture? There was more than likely a bit of muffled profanity with this expression.
Calli took this nice photo of the dinner table. Before we left home, Adam brought out the authentic Japanese sushi dishes we got from our dear friends who lived in Japan. They were the perfect addition to the evening.
Gillian has a lovely jewelry collection that my girls always want to look through when they visit. So Gill took them upstairs and they all got dolled up for the kitchen dance party. They had a great time showing off their latest "moves."
Marin does yoga at her pre-school every Wednesday and has perfected this move where she touches her feet to the top of her head. Obviously, my timing wasn't quite right to capture the finished pose, but you get the idea.
Adam had a few days off, so we decided to head out to Calgary and look for a place to rent. We found rent prices to be astronomical and after looking around in a few areas of the town we want to live in, we found a brand new house to buy!
I was SO happy to see the mountains as we were flying in...
This is one view of the town we are moving to. It's so close to the mountains!!! We can hardly wait!
We finally got the perfect day for building something and Adam took the girls out to create this lovely wall.
Marin got her mittens wet, so she chose to come in and not participate in the photo.
They also made a cool (and safe) tunnel... How can you tell that the girls enjoy having their photo taken?

Not enough snow to build a wall around the whole place??
