Straight Disney

This first picture has nothing to do with anything, except for the fact that Calli made a request to have her hair straightened one morning. It took us a while to get it all perfect, but the end result was amazing. We'd done it once before, but didn't spend much time on it, so we were pleasantly surprised when it was finished. I'm not sure Calli will ask for it again any time soon, as she was bored 1/2 way through and wondering when it would be finished. Hopefully it will make her realize how truly lucky she is to have such beautiful naturally curly hair.

At Christmas, Grandma and Grandpa bought us all tickets to see Disney On Ice: Princess Classics! We kept it as a surprise for the girls until the day we went and they were SO thrilled to see the show. On the drive into the city, Adam and I were shocked to see how big the snow dump sites were! We weren't able to get a good picture because of all the traffic, unfortunately. But I'm sure you must have seen footage on the news, no?

We had an easy drive into the city. I LOVE driving into the city. I love coming out of the tunnel onto Rue de la Montagne and seeing the old architecture and the tall buildings. It never gets old for me. One day I'll spend some time and take some real photos...

The Disney show was amazing. It was very well done and the girls were enthralled. They hardly said a word through the entire performance, instead munching on popcorn and cotton candy.

Marin, who is usually quite reserved (in some ways...) even joined in with clapping and waving to the Princesses!! We had excellent seats and were only 5 rows up from the ice!

The first half of the show was very well done and told each of the Princesses stories and how they fell in love with the various Princes. The props and sets were really great! There were quite a few blasts of smoke and "magic," throughout the show which really scared the kids in the audience...and maybe their parents too!

After the intermission, the story of Cinderella was told. Of course, they saved the best for last. The wicked step-sisters were fantastic and very interactive with the audience. After the ball, a few of the little girls sitting in the front row of the audience were lucky enough to try on the glass slipper! Very clever, Disney!

After the Prince discovers Cinderella again, the whole cast of Princes and Princesses came out in their wedding finery and did a huge skating scene together.

Calli really had a great time and was most thrilled to see Cinderella and Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Marin told everyone afterwards that Goofy was there "goofing around." Ha ha!
Thanks again Grandma and Grandpa! We had a really great time!

Sounds like an awesome time for the girls, and the parents?! Zoe would be thrilled to go to that.
My vote is for Calli's curls, 100%.
Fun! Damn those kids just keep getting cuter! I so think Marin looks so much like you and Calli like her daddy!
